2024-2025 Classes
We are looking forward to resuming our regular weekly classes on Wednesday, 11 September 2024 (7:00 pm) at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 504 - 2nd Street, SE, Medicine Hat (side entrance).
New members are welcome! For those interested in trying out a new activity, you are encouraged to join us and see what Scottish Country Dancing is all about! Wear comfortable, flat shoes and bring a water bottle. Teenagers to seniors are welcome; no partner required. The first four weeks are free for beginners. If you decide to continue, annual membership for an adult is $60.
2024 AGM
Our AGM was held on 1st of May 2024 and a new Executive was elected. Outgoing President Bob Mutch was thanked for navigating through Covid and creating a history of our group for the Esplanade Archives. He also initiated a re-write of our bylaws! The newly elected Executive is found on the

Spring Fling
Our final activity of the year was our Spring Fling, Wednesday, 3 May 2023. There was tartan, dancing and a cake in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.
2023 AGM
Our 2023 Annual General Meeting was held on 26 April 2023 at St. John's Presbyterian Church. President Bob Mutch noted the excellent attendance with most members present. The executive positions were filled by acclamation in 2022 for a two year term and continue in their positions for 2023-24. (See

Lethbridge Workshop and Ball
About 1/3 of our members attended the workshop and enjoyed the hospitality of that fine club.
Robert Burns Celebration
A well-attended Burns celebration was held on the birthday of the bard, 25 January. Eric piped in the haggis, Stewart managed the drams and Malcolm stabbed the haggis. In addition to some dancing, Bill performed "A Man's a Man" and the musical trio of Sharon, Sandra and Nelson delivered some live music.

St. Andrew's (Latha Naomh Anndra)
The Medicine Hat Scottish Country Dancers celebrated St. Andrew's on the day, 30 November. Club President Bob Mutch explained the significance of St. Andrew and how he relates as patron Saint of Scotland. We danced to the live music of Nelson Hogg on piano and Sandra Robson on fiddle.
Fiona Miller named to RSCDS Scroll of Honour
