The Sunridge Observatory is a non-profit organization. We operate as any non-profit organization through donations and grants. We are open to visitors and groups to provide education and access to equipment for the study of astronomy and education. Please watch this site for further news and information.
Annual Spring Banquet, Rescheduled - Friday May 23rd
The supper has been rescheduled for the above date.
The banquet had to be rescheduled after some major events made it impossible to hold the supper on the previous date. We hope that those that were going to attend will be able to attend on Friday May 23rd
Finally, over the past two years, we have come to the point where our main telescope is operational again. There is some work to completed, but it is usable by both members and visitors. The past two years have been an interesting project in both work and problems. The members involved learned many lessons, lessons that make astronomy interesting.
Now it is time to start working on updating both the public and members as to plans within the club.
To the general public, we did not stop open houses over the past few years, but we have not been advertising them as we should have. We have now set the schedule for the 2008 Visitor Nights.. Hope to see you at the observatory. The next visitors night is Saturday, May 10 19:30.
